Hi, I’m Melissa McQuillen. I’m writer, teacher, and a life-time learning. I want to cheer you on and make space for your process. I am to help people seek truth, connect deeply, and live whole, surrendered, and full of joy.

I’ve always been a deep thinker and a bit of a wrestler, rarely satisfied with surface answers. I believe truth can handle your questions, healing is possible after disappointment, and that growing up in your faith doesn’t mean losing wonder—it means finding real strength.

It is after reaffirming our identity and what we believe that we can move forward in blessing our communities. Love demands action and it is time for the Christians in our western world to learn again how to serve and advocate for those around us.

This space is for those rebuilding faith, untangling old beliefs, or simply trying to live well—with integrity, joy, and purpose. You are allowed to be messy and uncertain as you grow. And you are allowed to outgrow your old life.

I believe you are more powerful than you know. That your story matters. That God has planted something true and beautiful in you—and it’s time to live like it. You don’t have to have it all figured out. But you are allowed to keep going, keep growing, and become someone who walks in clarity, wholeness, and deep connection to Jesus.

Melissa lives in Dublin, Ohio, with her husband and their four daughters.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics (with a minor in Political Science) from Virginia Tech and her Master’s in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Maryland. A lifelong learner, she loves history, politics, and understanding how real people are affected by the decisions made around them.

Her writing and speaking are shaped by her faith and her commitment to helping people ask better questions, make sense of their pain, and grow into clarity and courage, not just for their own wellbeing, but so they can show up for their neighbors with compassion and integrity. She believes healing, wisdom, and strength aren’t meant to stop with us; they’re meant to move through us.

Through honest stories and grounded insight, Melissa encourages readers to move from reflection into faithful action, becoming the kind of people who bring hope, steadiness, and real love into a world that needs it.
